Description
We are currently seeking a Full-Time Production Technician for our manufacturing Optical Service Center located in Brooklyn Park, MN. This is an excellent opportunity to join a great company and team! Full training is provided.
The hours are Monday through Friday: 8:00AM to 4:00PM
Salary: Minimum starting wage is $16.50 an hour or more based on experience.
Job Summary
Primary responsibilities of this position include lens inspection and cleaning, reprocessing of cosmetic defects and proper machine bath maintenance and chemical additions. This process applies Anti-Reflective coatings to ophthalmic lenses. The Walman team provides full training so that each employee is comfortable with safe operation of the equipment and process of completing quality eyewear and ability to meet production goals.
Duties
Inspect, rack and make lenses ready for coating
Load racks into dip coating machine
Prepare all solutions for the coating process & assure daily supplies are stocked
Perform maintenance on production equipment
Sort incoming work by date, material and process
Perform other duties as needed
Experience/Qualifications
High School diploma, GED or Equivalent and at least two (2) years of work experience commensurate with position requirements
Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
