GENERAL FUNCTION

The Senior Financial Analyst in Central FP&A assists in the development of departmental budgets and variance analyses prepares forecast and profitability analyses, compiles and analyzes financial ratios by different brand including store activities and results, prepares and analyzes monthly financial data, and assists in overall controlling activities. This role also works closely with the team in Milan to ensure data and analytical requests are satisfied.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops, maintains, documents and improves upon complex financial models for forecasting and budgeting purposes with an emphasis on store related expectations vs results.

  • Identifies opportunities to automate, streamline and improve reporting and budgeting procedures, and exploits those opportunities through implementation.

  • Supports month-end closing process and controlling procedures by identifying and preparing adjusting journal entries and accruals for accounting.

  • Use analytics to drive insights and fact-based decision-making.

  • Coordinates information gathering within and across functional areas in support of financial reports, analyses and presentations required by management.

  • On a monthly basis, completes and analyzes brand comps for central reporting

  • Performs on-going analysis of budgetary status and impact of supplemental needs and requests, prepares periodic and ad hoc analyses of Budget/Forecast versus Actual for revenue and expenses, prepares and maintains supporting documentation.

  • Analyzes special projects to determine financial impact on the business.

  • Works cooperatively with other disciplines and accepts direction from supervisors.

  • Prepares management reports for Corporate and senior EL management.

  • Runs reports and queries data using Company’s financial package to collect information for financial planning.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

  • 3+ years’ work experience preferably in Commercial Analysis

  • PC proficient, especially with Excel

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in the financial analysis discipline

  • Solid tactical management skills

  • Business acumen

  • Organizational savvy

  • Effective communication and listening skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to build the business through improved analysis, trending and reporting

  • Sound business judgment and strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrated team-builder, with the ability to work collaboratively with other individuals and disciplines

  • Innovative style with a “roll-up-the-sleeves” attitude

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA/Master’s degree, CPA

  • Experience in database query

  • 5+ years’ work experience preferably in Commercial Analysis

  • Knowledge of SAP and/or Essbase

  • Knowledge of PowerBi
