GENERAL FUNCTION

The RLB Strategy team works with the Executive Team and other key stakeholders across EssilorLuxottica to build growth strategies for the business. The Manager of Strategic Operations will be responsible for creating and optimizing Eyecare strategies for Target Optical and Pearle Vision as well as managing key initiatives to support the brands.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Own and optimize multi brand Eyecare strategy , build organizational capabilities and lead key initiative:

  • Serves as the subject matter expert for Eyecare business models within the retail optical industry in the US & Canada, identifies key trends and legal landscape evolutions.

  • Understands the optical doctor’s revenue model , key processes & systems and growth strategies.

  • Collaborates with customer experience teams to design & evolve the patient experience, understands medical trends and conversion drivers to retail.

  • Supports the creation of an annual Eyecare strategy and of executive level updates for Eyecare initiatives..

  • Develops in-depth analysis around business performance : exam KPIs, profitability of the different doctor set-up (employed, sub-lease, tele-optometry…), correlation with relevant sales KPIs (guest count, conversion, patient experience….).

  • Leads quarterly business deep dives with senior management

  • Defines project plans and leads cross functional teams

  • Creates onboarding and training decks covering eyecare strategy

  • Contributes to a monthly strategy newsletter tracking industry & competitive updates.

- Orchestrate Pearle Vision annual brand planning cycle and Support the Pearle Vision Director of Strategy in developing and managing strategic initiatives :

  • Collaborates with cross functional partners to analyze brand performance across all strategy pillars

  • Designs a growth framework supporting the brand experience

  • Identifies key initiative by growth pillar ,

  • Leads strategy working sessions and deployment meetings ,

  • Defines project plans and leads cross functional teams to implement current and new initiatives that drive guest count, sales, profit, and a positive guest experience.

- Ability to build relationships and trust with Business Leaders, team members and with external partners

- Maintains frequent oral and written communication with management and other stakeholders

- Creates and manages project plans and timelines.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)

  • 5 years of strategy experience either interal or with a Top-Tier consulting firm

  • Solution oriented mindset with ability to think critically, challenge the status quo, understand root causes and develop strategic frameworks

  • Proficient at analyzing large quantity of data

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Fast learner who is proactive and curious by nature

  • Experience in running multiple complex cross-functional projects independently and simultaneously

  • Effectively navigates the organization, leveraging credibility to influence

  • Strong work ethic

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master degree in business/highly analytical field or MBA preferred

  • Retail, insurance experience

​Pay Range: 116,366.27 - 176,868.80

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
