JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly reporting into the Head of Eyewear Brand Management, the candidate’s mission is to drive the Oakley Sport Performance Eyewear Brand Strategy & Go To Market execution ensuring effective sell in of sport products into key sport verticals including Bike, Running, Baseball, Golf and other general channels such as optical and sun specialty.

The role is global, including cross functional collaboration with multiple departments within the organization developing brand guidelines for new product briefs, executing 3 levels of GTM planning for key product initiatives, briefing product features, benefits, and storylines to Brand Activation teams, and maintaining strong cross functional partnerships through strategy develop and project execution.

She/he will generate account alignment for buying into new products, while driving consumer awareness, interest, and engagement in line with the brand’s overall goals and objectives, coordinating with internal as well as external stakeholders

The candidate will work closely with key stakeholders within Luxottica corporate, global Product teams in California, Regional Business brand managers as well as the broader Oakley marketing organization to ensure internal alignment and integration as well as excellent execution of the strategy.

Challenges will include late working hours connecting with partners at Oakley Headquarter working in California, along with daily collaboration with multiple stakeholders in Milan. This role requires a passionate, agile, articulate, and entrepreneurial candidate that embodies the Oakley values.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:

  • Marketing Go To market co-ordination: Support in Coordinate & Drive the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns with Brand Activation team to drive sell in results & out results in line with business and brand objectives for assigned verticals (Eyewear Only), working in close partnership with the Vertical lead.

  • Online and offline visibility: Working with the Omnichannel team to ensureoptimal representation of product categories and execution of global brand category strategy across the channels (wholesale, retail and ecommerce)

  • Help developing Category Strategy & Implementation : Supporting in preparation and execution of yearly or seasonal Category strategies, as well as building 5YP in tight collaboration with the global product strategy team.

  • Product and Technology Copy: Craft detailed and compelling internal and consumer facing product and technology copy, descriptions, and explanations that effectively communicates features and benefits.

  • Sales and Brand Events: Help support in sales and trade show events when need

  • Shoot Attendance: Coordinate and participate in global product photo shoots, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and brief.

  • Samples: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide product samples for sell in and brand campaign photoshoots

INTERNAL : Oakley Brand Team, Social, PR , EW Product and Merchandising team, Business Brand Managers, Sport Marketing team, Omnichannel (Wholesale, Retail, E-Commerce), Brand Activation EXTERNAL : Various vendors

TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE:

  • Educational Background in International Marketing, Business or a relevant field.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in the sporting goods industry, eyewear experience is a strong plus.

  • Prior experience on a global brand or in a global management role

  • Experience in Category & Brand marketing and Marketing execution & Go to Market experience

  • Strong problem solving, negotiation and persuasion skills

  • Solid experience with full Microsoft office Suite

  • Product & Business acumen.

  • Fluent in English (Italian is a plus)

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Educational Background: Masters / Post graduate degree in Management ( Business, International, Marketing,)

LANGUAGES:

English – preferably Native speaker ( Italian is a plus)
