The Wholesale team works with our customers one-on-one, developing professional relationships based on trust and care.

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sales Manager (National Chanel Sr. Brand Ambassador) will act as the brand ambassador in maximizing quality brand distribution to achieve both sales and image goals for the brand across their prospective territory; responsible for developing customer business plans that strike an effective balance of both sell-in and sell-through efforts. The National Chanel Sr. Brand Ambassador role will also focus on elevating the established standards for distribution, training events, productivity and merchandising & providing the best in class customer service. This role will report into the Chanel Brand Director.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieves quarterly sales, average unit price, distribution and door productivity targets for the Chanel brand

  • Partners closely with the local synergy team for coordination of the business and customer relationship as a whole.

  • Participates in quarterly brand training and particular events related to the Chanel or Luxottica activities

  • Develops and adheres to effective call cycle to achieve desired service frequency within independent accounts to meet indicated sales objectives; at least twice a quarter

  • Execute Brand training events in identified Key accounts and Department Store accounts at least twice a quarter

  • Builds strong working relationship at all levels within the practices and businesses they manage (doctor, optician, store manager, etc)

  • Drive assortment plans with customers

  • Successfully on-board all customers with pre-booking with each collection

  • Proactively manages all facets of distribution within the designated territory; audit management, openings, closings and parallel cases

  • Ensures brand visual merchandising standards are met; refreshes & leverages POP materials to elevate the brand & ensures CHANEL always has the best positioning within the POS

  • Utilizes all brand materials to conduct regular staff trainings to reinforce knowledge and ensure message to the patient/ consumer is translated consistently with the Chanel brand positioning

  • Cultivates existing customer base while partnering with the local sales team on prospecting for new potential in the market.

  • Develops/conducts trunk shows and other consumer events in to create brand awareness and drive sales• Acts as an ambassador of the Chanel brand, ensuring customer adheres to the established brand standards with the goal of maintaining brand equity

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS Degree

  • 5 years of direct sales experience with proven track record of results

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent training and presentation skills

  • Strong visual merchandising background

  • Strong ability to problem solve, anticipate challenges in advance, and propose solutions

  • Deep understanding and interest in fashion and luxury goods

  • Ability to embrace and follow corporate direction, especially in reference to closures and openings

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Highly professional and strong fashion sense

  • Strong business judgment and negotiation skills

  • Team player with strong leadership qualities

  • Strong PC skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Significant field time required with overnights

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Must submit to full background check

​Pay Range: 78,896.90 - 143,145.10

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
